About Things To Do Gibraltar

Lives in Gibraltar. Runs Things To Do Gibraltar as an independent guide. How we research.
Things To Do Gibraltar is an independent tourism guide for the Rock. The site is owned and edited by Ethan Roworth. I live in Gibraltar. Most Gibraltar tourism content online is recycled or written by people who have never set foot on the Rock. This site is the opposite. Every attraction, tour, day trip and itinerary on this site is checked against an official or operator source, with real prices, real opening hours, and a real opinion. See our methodology for the full process.
What this site covers
I focus on things to do in Gibraltar. That means:
- Attractions like the Rock, the Apes, St Michael's Cave, the Skywalk, the Tunnels, the Castle, Europa Point.
- Tours: dolphin watching, walking tours, cave tours, taxi tours, food tours, e-bike tours.
- Day trips from Gibraltar to Tarifa, Tangier, Ronda, Marbella, Granada, Sevilla, La Linea, and the rest.
- Itineraries: 1-day, 2-day, and 3-day plans for cruise visitors, families, couples, solo travellers, history buffs, adventure seekers.
- Areas and neighbourhoods to explore: Casemates, Marina Bay, Ocean Village, Catalan Bay, Sandy Bay, Europa Point.
- Events: National Day, Calentita, Three Kings, Music Festival, Literary Festival.
I do not cover restaurants, hotels, or bars. That is a different niche, with different sources of authority, and I would rather do one thing well than spread thin across everything.
Why I built this
I quit a 9-to-5 to go all-in on freelance web design, AI automation, and SEO. Things To Do Gibraltar is part of a small portfolio of Gibraltar-focused sites I run as both a personal project and a real business. The portfolio includes Country of Gibraltar, Rent Gibraltar, Gibraltar Relocation, and a few others. Each site stays focused on one niche.
How I make money
Affiliate links. When you book a tour through a partner like Viator or GetYourGuide via a link on this site, I earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. I never let affiliate income decide which operator I recommend. The dolphin operator I rank first is the one I would actually book, not the one paying highest. Read more about how I research and rank.
Where I am based
Gibraltar de la Concepcion. I live on the Spanish side of the border and walk into Gibraltar most days. That gives me the best of both worlds: I see how locals navigate Gibraltar, I see how tourists arrive, and I see what works and what does not.
