Where the ship docks
P&O ships dock at the North Mole or the Western Arm berths in Gibraltar Harbour.
Walk into Gibraltar
5-10 minutes flat walk from the gangway to Casemates Square. Free shuttle if your ship is on the far side.
💡 Shore excursion tip
P&O excursions are typically 30-50 percent more expensive than booking direct with Gibraltar operators. The included transport is usually unnecessary because the city is walkable.
Recommended day plan (independent)
Walk to Casemates, take a taxi tour up the Rock (the cable car is closed for refurbishment, taxi is the alternative at around £35-50 per group), do the apes and the cave in 90 minutes, walk down through the old town, lunch at Marina Bay, dolphin trip after lunch, back at the ship by 4pm.
P&O-specific notes
P&O passengers tend to come off in waves. The first hour after disembarkation is busiest at the taxi rank. Wait until 10am for shorter queues.
