Walk or taxi down and lunch
Day 1 - 12:00 PMWalk down via the Upper Rock road (about 40 minutes) or take a taxi from the top (around £10). Proper refuel at Casemates.

WWII Tunnels
Day 1 - 2:00 PMTaxi to tunnel entrance near Queensway. The full 1939-1944 underground network. Far larger than the Great Siege system. Allow 75 minutes.

Gorham's Cave UNESCO site
Day 1 - 4:00 PMTaxi to eastern face of the Rock. Neanderthal habitation site, occupied until around 30,000 years ago. Check access in advance.

Dolphin watching tour
Day 2 - 9:00 AMMarina Bay, 90-minute trip into the Strait. Morning light and calmer water. Common and bottlenose dolphins on most trips.

Kayak along the eastern cliffs
Day 2 - 11:00 AMGuided kayak tour along the base of the Rock's eastern limestone face. Check local operators and pre-book. Allow 90 minutes.

Lunch and ferry to Tangier
Day 2 - 1:00 PMFerry terminal is a 20-minute walk from Marina Bay. Afternoon crossing to Tangier: 60-90 minutes through the Strait.

Tangier medina and Kasbah
Day 2 - 3:30 PMExplore the medina, climb to the Kasbah for views over the Strait. Allow 2-3 hours.

Evening ferry back to Gibraltar
Day 2 - 7:00 PMReturn crossing with the Rock ahead. The view of the Rock at dusk from the sea is worth the trip on its own.

Drive to Tarifa, Spain
Day 3 - 9:00 AMCross the border and drive 40 minutes along the Costa de la Luz to Tarifa, the southernmost point of continental Europe.

Kitesurfing lesson or beach
Day 3 - 10:00 AMPlaya de los Lances has consistent Atlantic wind and several kitesurf schools offering beginner lessons. Alternatively, walk the 10km beach and watch the riders.

Lunch in Tarifa
Day 3 - 1:00 PMGood fish restaurants and tapas bars in the old town. Budget €12-18 per person.

Cape Trafalgar
Day 3 - 3:00 PMOptional 20-minute drive north to the Cape Trafalgar headland, where the 1805 battle took place. The lighthouse sits on a low promontory at the western end of the bay.

Drive back to Gibraltar
Day 3 - 5:00 PM40-minute coastal drive back to the Rock. Final evening at Casemates.
