About this tour

If you have never dived before but have always been curious, Dive Charters Gibraltar's Try Dive Experience is the obvious first step. It runs daily at 14:00 from Marina Bay (4 Admirals Walk, six metres from their dive shop), lasts approximately 90 minutes including a full safety briefing, and takes you into the water with a PADI Divemaster for your entire time underwater. No experience is necessary, and all equipment is provided including wetsuit, BCD, regulator, mask, and fins.

The waters around Gibraltar are clear, temperate (17 to 22 degrees Celsius depending on season), and varied enough to hold your attention. The Strait's constant tidal flow drives strong marine life density. You are likely to see an interesting range of fish and invertebrates even on a shallow beginners' dive close to the marina.

Cost is £60 per person. Towels, a change of clothes, and sun cream are recommended. The centre is closed on National Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. If you enjoy the experience and want to progress to full certification, the PADI Open Water course is £475 and available through the same centre. Book ahead via info.divecharters@gmail.com or call 00350 200 45649.
