About this tour

Dolphin Adventure runs one of the most established marine wildlife operations in Gibraltar. Their catamaran, the Dolphin Adventurer, departs from 9 The Square at Marina Bay up to four times a day, heading out into the Strait of Gibraltar where common, striped, and bottlenose dolphins are regularly spotted feeding and socialising in the open water.

What sets this operation apart is the marine biologist on board. You are not just watching dolphins from a railing, you are getting actual context about what the animals are doing, why they behave the way they do, and what the Strait means for marine life in this part of the world. That commentary is what makes the trip stick in your memory rather than blur into generic holiday footage.

Trips run daily and pods can number in the hundreds. On the same stretch of water you might also spot whales in summer, loggerhead turtles, ocean sunfish, and flying fish. The catamaran is spacious, has onboard toilets, and there is plenty of room at the handrails for photographs.

Dolphin Adventure also runs specialist Sunday morning boat tours to the Gorham's Cave Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the eastern face of the Rock where Neanderthals lived 30,000 years ago. These run weather-dependent from Marina Bay and must be booked in advance via the Gorham's Cave site.

Adult tickets are £28, children under 12 pay £14. Tours depart four times daily from Marina Bay.
